Volunteer Content Creators needed for Campus Events

Volunteer Content Creators Needed
for Campus Events

As Valley Catholic School continues to grow, so does the number of events we cover throughout the year. We are looking for a team of Volunteer Content Creators to help document and share the incredible stories happening across our campus.

These volunteers will work primarily with our Marketing Communications Specialist and our photographer/videographer to help create engaging content for our website and social media channels.

Why We Need You:

Valley Catholic Schools now hosts and covers more than 130 events throughout the school year. In the past, we have relied on our four person Communications staff and a few student volunteers, but we need a few more great photographers to help ensure all aspects of campus life are represented.

Ideally, we would build a team of 5 volunteers, each covering at least 5 events per year. This level of support would make a tremendous difference in our ability to showcase the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon’s many accomplishments and experiences across all of their sponsored ministries at Valley Catholic School, Maryville and the SSMO Foundation.

Three Steps to be a Volunteer Content Creator:
All volunteers must:
  • Complete the Archdiocese of Portland’s Creating a Safe Environment (C.A.S.E.) training program. Classes are typically offered at local parishes: Visit https://archdpdx.org/child-protection-victimassistance to learn more about the training.
  • Once C.A.S.E. training is complete, the volunteer must pass a routine background check.
  • Finally, the volunteer will complete and sign the SSMO Ministries Corp. Volunteer Waiver.
