The Valley Catholic High School Concert Choir has been invited to perform at the University of Portland’s Advent Vespers Concert on Friday, December 6, at 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland.

This cherished event has been a University of Portland tradition for more than 20 years, marking the beginning of the Advent season through an evening of sacred choral music and reflection. Valley Catholic is honored to be the only high school choir invited to perform alongside the university’s ensembles for this special concert.
Under the direction of Kelliann Wright, the VCHS Concert Choir will perform its own set of songs before joining the University of Portland choirs for several combined pieces that highlight the beauty and unity of voices across generations.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be part of such a meaningful tradition,” said Wright. “Our students are excited to share their music in this setting and to collaborate with the talented musicians from UP.”
The event is open to the public. Tickets are free, though donations are encouraged to support the University of Portland’s music programs.
