Valley Catholic is proud to celebrate alumna Mariel Zagunis ’03, who will be inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2026.
A five-time Olympian and two-time Olympic gold medalist in fencing, Zagunis is one of five inductees being honored this year. She joins Christine Sinclair, Jacoby Ellsbury, Bob Gross and the 1971 Linfield Baseball Team in the 2026 induction class.
Zagunis will officially be inducted during the Oregon Sports Awards on Tuesday, Nov.10, in Beaverton. The annual event celebrates athletic achievement across Oregon and recognizes athletes at the high school, college and professional levels.
