VCMS 7th-grade students exhibited a variety of artwork as part of their Africa project assignment in their social studies class focused on world history. Mr. Taylor, a VCMS social studies teacher, describes the project, “Students create a visual, written or digital project that highlights what they learned during their research–which focuses on world history–we spend an entire quarter researching the breadth and beauty of Africa.”
Student projects employed a variety of mediums, such as digital art, paintings, dioramas, and more, which focused on a wide variety of topics. A photo album of the 7th grade Africa Project artworks is available to view on this link.
