Dear VCELS Families,

The month of March brought much learning and excitement to the Early Learning School. During March, we celebrated SSMO Heritage Month, participated in an all campus Mass honoring the Sisters, and invited many of the Sisters over for a tea party, which was a great time for all! The students sang special songs for the Sisters and sat at student decorated tables to enjoy drinks and snacks together.

This Lent, we have been guiding our children in understanding the significance of this season through simple lessons on prayer, kindness, and service. Each week, our little ones participate in age-appropriate activities that teach the values of Lent. We gather together at the beginning of each week to pray simple prayers as a group. Even the littlest hands learn the act of praying with others, and we help them understand that prayer is a way to connect with God.

As we enter spring, we are getting excited for our school age summer program, which is just a few months away. Information and sign-ups are available on the  and in the ELS main lobby. Students can sign up for just a few weeks or all eleven, but don’t wait, spots fill up quickly. We look forward to enjoying the summer months with our school age students through water play, field trips, and engaging and exciting STEM activities.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are excited for the upcoming activities and look forward to sharing these moments with you.

On behalf of the Early Learning Staff, we wish you a wonderful April and a “Happy Easter”. We pray that God continues to bless us all with His love, grace, and good health.

In Christ,

Amber Ploussard
