A letter from Valley Catholic Early Learning School Principal Amber Ploussard

Dear VCELS Families,

The holiday season is fast approaching and the Early Learning School is ready to embrace it. Our students visited our on-campus “pumpkin patch,” decorated pumpkins with our high school friends, and participated in a Halloween parade.

For the parade, we visited all the buildings on campus to show off our not so spooky costumes! A big thank you to all the Sisters, staff, Maryville residents and VC students on campus. They did an outstanding job greeting our youngest Valiants. It was a day filled with smiles all around.

We have been fortunate to celebrate Mass with the rest of the campus. Our students attended the Blue Mass where we honored first responders who serve in our community and then attended the All Saints Day Mass.

Our toddlers have really enjoyed the changing seasons. They go for daily walks around our beautiful campus and love stepping on all the fallen leaves and hearing them crunch under their feet. During November we will focus on being grateful for our many blessings as we prepare for Thanksgiving. We will talk with the children about helping others and being kind to everyone.

Later this month we will be having parent teacher conferences. This is a way for us to connect with families and make sure students are hitting the appropriate milestones for their age.

For our service project this fall/winter, VCELS is going to participate in the KGW Toy Drive. Our goal is to donate 100 or more toys. We will host a drop site for the toy drive from Nov. 12 to Dec. 13. Please stop by, say “hi,” and donate a new unwrapped toy.

We pray that God continues to bless us all with His love, grace, and good health.

Faithfully,

Amber Ploussard
