Dear VCELS Families,

January was an incredible month! Our littlest Valiants have been busy exploring, discovering, and growing in so many exciting ways. From hands-on activities to fun playtime, it has been a month full of laughter and milestones. We have been focusing on building early literacy, creativity, and motor skills through a variety of interactive lessons and games. Outdoors, the children have enjoyed the winter weather, engaging in active play and learning about the changing seasons.

We celebrated Catholic Schools Week with daily themes to celebrate our community, vocations, and nation. We celebrated our community and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. Our preschool children made special gifts as a thank you for all the Sisters do for us. We also celebrated our campus leaders and our security officers by making gifts and singing songs! The week ended by celebrating our fabulous faculty and staff with a faith formation retreat led by Sr. Juanita Villareal, SSMO.

This month our toddler classrooms also made a special visit to Maryville to spend time with the residents and do some fun activities with them. Each month our preschool students attend music readiness classes in partnership with the Valley Catholic Music School; they are learning all about rhythms and getting to explore a variety of musical instruments. 

Looking ahead, we are thrilled for all the upcoming activities and new adventures that February brings. Our curriculum will continue to support your child’s growth with even more fun learning experiences, art projects, and outdoor play. We cannot wait to see what our young learners will achieve next!
