Maria Francisco Francisco has worked with Maryville since July of 2014 when she started as a dishwasher. Maria spent her first year learning many different positions in the kitchen. She then left Maryville in August of 2015 when she had her first daughter, Violeta. We were delighted when Maria decided to reapply to Maryville once again and signed on in March of 2017. Since returning to the kitchen, Maria has continued to learn more and now serves as a person in charge of the kitchen.
Maria is originally from Huehuetenango, Guatemala. She came to the United States when she was 14 years old in 2007. Maria is Catholic and she likes working for the Sisters to support their mission. She enjoys helping others and she loves the kitchen team. When you ask her about her job here, she says, “I think it is the best place to work.”
Maria is gentle, kind, dedicated, reliable and really cares about those she serves.
Maria and her husband, Rafael, are expecting their second child in September. We will miss her while she is on maternity leave taking care of her new baby boy. She does plan to return to Maryville after her maternity leave. Outside of work, Maria loves to spend time with her family, especially playing and reading with her daughter. Violeta is very excited about her new baby brother and can’t wait to help mom take care of him.
