The SSMO Foundation Speaker Series

The SSMO Foundation Speaker Series is our gift back to the community that supports our campus. Each event is free and provides interesting, timely, and educational information from trusted sources.

Join us on Monday, March 16 for a special Speaker Series event – Support from the Sidelines: Building Food and Body Confidence at Home. This special event will be led by Greta Jarvis, MS, MPH and founder of the Center for Active Women. Greta will provide a special webinar for parents of school-age children.

Support from the Sidelines:

A parent’s guide to building food and body confidence at home.

Date: Monday, March 16
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: via Google Meet

Greta joins the Valley Catholic community online to share with parents how to support their children in meeting their nutritional needs while nurturing healthy relationships with food, body, and self. Since the pandemic, we have seen increased rates of body image disturbances and disordered eating among people of all ages. Families can play a pivotal role in fostering body image resilience and healthy eating behaviors across the lifespan.
