A letter from Valley Catholic Early Learning School Principal Amber Ploussard
Dear VCELS Families,
I cannot believe that October is already here. Fall is in full swing at the Early Learning School. We are focusing on autumn themed activities as well as meeting new friends and engaging in age-appropriate activities. From outdoor exploration to singing new songs, learning daily prayers and Bible stories, our youngest Valiants are excited to come to school each day to see what their teachers have planned for them! Our infants and toddlers are working on both fine and gross motor development and using their words with friends. Our preschool students have been focusing on letter recognition, letter sounds, and writing their letters. They are also really excited about math and are working on counting, sorting, patterns, and number recognition.
Our preschoolers had the opportunity last week to have some special friends come over to visit. The Valley Catholic High School football team came by to read with our students, which was a memorable experience for these youngest and oldest Valiants alike!
We will celebrate Halloween and all things fall later this month. We will have our own “pumpkin patch” out on the lawn across from the Early Learning School, where our students will team up with our amazing high school student body officers to pick out and decorate pumpkins together. On Halloween, our students and staff are invited to wear Halloween costumes as we parade around campus and partake in Halloween themed crafts and activities. Weather permitting, students will visit all the different buildings on our campus to trick or treat. We love seeing all the “big kids” on campus and feel very blessed to be part of this community.
Thank you for a great start to the month. We pray that God continues to bless us all with His love, grace, and good health.
Faithfully,
Amber Ploussard
