Prema Joy, a certified nursing assistant (CNA) on the night shift at Maryville, is our May 2018 Employee of the Month.
Originally from India, she moved to the United States in 2003. She began working as a CNA at Maryville in 2012.
Prema says she appreciates working at Maryville because she enjoys her co-workers and loves the residents. “I love helping those in need.” Prema also works part time as a medical assistant in Hillsboro.
When she is not at work, Prema enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons. She says she has a lifelong love of nature, being outdoors and exploring the different cultures, foods, and people across the United States.
Her co-worker Rachel Nunez said, “I appreciate the way Prema anticipates the needs of the resident. She is very caring and she is conscientious about being on time and helping where she is needed.”
