Marian is not like the other ladies at Nottingham Castle. She has little patience for embroidery and would much rather be outside honing her archery skills. She also has no interest in marrying Sir Guy of Gisbourne, one of Prince John’s eager lackeys. When Marian learns that Prince John is taxing Nottingham’s poor for a king’s ransom he has no intention of paying, she takes matters into her own hands.
With the help of minstrel Alana Dale, Marian sets out to find the legendary Robin Hood and his renowned Merry Men. But the myths do not quite match reality — behind Robin Hood and his band are five strong, smart, and capable women. Together, they plot to outwit Prince John in a story full of humor, ingenuity, and heart.
