Van Tran
Social Studies and English Teacher
Social Studies and English Teacher | Van Tran joined Valley Catholic Middle School in 2026 as an English Language Arts teacher. A graduate of the University of Portland, Van holds both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching and brings previous middle school teaching experience from Kellogg Middle School.
Van is passionate about making literature accessible and engaging for students. His teaching incorporates a variety of texts and media, including graphic novels, to help students develop strong reading, critical-thinking, and analytical writing skills. He creates a classroom where students think deeply and express their ideas confidently.
Outside of the classroom, Van enjoys trying new recipes, staying active and traveling.
