Christy Simon
Librarian
Librarian | Christy Simon is the VCES Librarian. She attended St. Mary of the Valley/Valley Catholic from 1st through 12th grades. After her time at SMV/VC, she attended Gonzaga University where she graduated with her ECE/ELE teaching license and a B.A. in English. Christy has taught 1st and 2nd grade for eight years at Catholic schools in the area.
During her time teaching, she also graduated from Pacific University with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and her Reading Endorsement. Christy is passionate about reading, having attended numerous reading conferences and book events, and is a member of multiple book clubs and a writing group.
Christy and her husband have two daughters who attend Valley. Christy enjoys art, dance, coffee, tea, board games, eating out, Disney vacationing, reading (of course), and spending time with her family and friends.
