Register today for our final Speaker Series event for 2023.
People are feeling physically stronger and living longer. Unfortunately, this also means that more people are now living with dementia. Approximately 5.6 million Americans over the age of 65 have dementia and that number is growing.
Nick Lewis, R. Ph., Pharm D. of Consonus Health, Maryville’s pharmacy provider, joins us to discuss how to identify dementia and help our loved ones maintain their quality of life.
Nick will discuss:
- The most common types of dementia
- How dementia is diagnosed
- Strategies and resources for helping a loved one with dementia
- Medications for dementia
- Current evidence for the eye-brain connection in dementia
