Yvonne Ayesiga

VCES Principal | Dr. Yvonne Ayesiga received her B.A. in political science and international relations from Wartburg College, her M.A. in postsecondary education from the University of Northern Iowa, and an Ed.D. in Student Affairs from the University of Portland. Yvonne worked in residence life for close to six years at Wartburg College and at the University of Portland. Yvonne has co-authored, presented and done work around promotion and access to education for all students, working with English as a second language learners, and most recently her research on impostor syndrome among first-generation college students. Yvonne enjoys teaching 7th grade STEM and serves as the Dean of Student Affairs at Valley Catholic Middle School. When not teaching, Yvonne enjoys cooking, rooting for the Timbers and Manchester United.
