Director of Campus Culture and Community Engagement | Taron Pickett began his journey with a dynamic involvement in sports – excelling in track, football, and basketball during high school. Basketball emerged as his primary focus, earning a Division I scholarship to play at the collegiate level. Following a transfer to a smaller institution, in Portland, he completed his degree and transitioned to professional basketball in Germany. With a unique blend of athletic and academic experiences, Taron shifted gears from professional sports to the business world, contributing his expertise to prominent companies like Nike Inc. and Adidas AG. This corporate experience paved the way for his transition into education, where he began teaching Chemistry at a local private school.
Combining his educational background in Health Education and Business Management with his diverse professional experiences, Taron is now the Director of Campus Culture and Community Engagement. Where he works to create an enriching and supportive atmosphere for everyone at Valley Catholic School.
