First Grade Instructional Assistant | Shauna Jasperson joined VCES in 2000 as a First Grade Instructional Assistant. She grew up in Portland, attending Catholic schools through high school. After graduating from Portland State University in 1981 with a BA in Elementary Education she taught third and fourth grades at Portland’s All Saints School. In 2005 she returned to PSU and added a Library Media endorsement to her Elementary Education license. She served as the VCES Library Media Teacher from 2004-2022, until retiring. Shauna substituted at VCES and returned half time in 2023 as a Second Grade Instructional Assistant. She enjoys reading, trips to the Oregon Coast, and spending time with her husband, four children and two cats.
