English Teacher | Saqif teaches English at VCMS. He is originally from Bangladesh where he completed high school and then moved to the US for college. He has worked in Portland State University’s Student Media as an editor and writer for the Campus magazine. During the pandemic, he worked in partnership with the Red Cross as a translator and fundraiser in Bangladesh. He holds a BFA from Portland State University in Creative Writing and will be completing his MFA in Creative Writing from Portland State University. Saqif is also a miniature photographer, model-car collector and an avid chess enthusiast.
