English Teacher | Leland Rivers teaches 6th and 7th grade English and serves as the VCMS English Department Head. He is a graduate of Linfield University, having earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and graduated from the Linfield Education Department with an Oregon State Initial Teaching License for Secondary English Education. He held a coaching position with his childhood swim team after college for almost a decade, and worked with athletes along every stage of their club swimming careers, from their first laps in a pool to racing at nationals. In his free time he enjoys hiking, backpacking, cycling, running, cooking for friends, reading, trying new foods, and listening to music.
