Science and Art Teacher | Joanne Yoo teaches both science and art at VCMS. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. After spending time in the pharmaceutical corporate world and continuing to explore her artistic interests, she found her true passion in teaching. In 2025, she completed a Master’s in Secondary Education at Portland State University, along with an Oregon teaching license endorsed in both biology and art. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on art projects, and exploring Portland’s vibrant coffee scene and beautiful natural surroundings.
