David King
Theology
Theology | David King has been teaching at Valley Catholic High School since 2023. Currently, he teaches junior World Religions (a dual-credit class with PCC) and senior Relationships. He received a B.S. in History with a Music minor from Willamette University in 2000, an M. Div. from Iliff School of Theology in 2006, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Iliff School of Theology in 2011, and a Ph.D. in Religious and Theological Studies from the University of Denver in 2019. His dissertation, Reclaiming the Radical Economic Message of Luke, is published by Pickwick. He is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and currently pastors part-time at a local church in Forest Grove. He is also a jazz pianist and a volunteer chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol.
