High School Academics

The heart of a great school – true academic quality – resides in the daily work of talented teachers who love their subjects.

At Valley Catholic High School, the curriculum is rigorous and ambitious. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, U.S. Government and Politics, Music Theory, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistcis, Computer Science Principles, Computer Science A, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics I, II, and C. In addition to these AP classes, curriculum and instruction to prepare for AP exams are offered in U.S. History. As a result, AP scores for Valley Catholic students are well above the national average and are nearly 20 percent above the Oregon average.

Valley Catholic’s curriculum includes Religion, English, Social Studies, Math, Science, Technology, World Languages, Fine Arts and Health and Physical Education. The student/teacher ratio is 14:1.

Nearly 100 percent of Valley Catholic graduates continue their education immediately after high school, attending outstanding colleges and universities throughout Oregon, across the United States and around the world.
