Grades 3-5 (Beginner)
Scratch: Game Development
This course is perfect for kids who love playing games and telling stories. Get ready to learn how to code and express your creativity with Scratch – a fun drag-and-drop coding tool that lets you create cool games, animations, and interactive stories.
In this course, you will build exciting projects like games where characters jump and run on scrolling platforms, stories where you can navigate through a maze, and even multiplayer games to play with your friends. If you’re just starting out, we’ll begin by learning the basics of coding games. We’ll teach you how to make things happen in your games using loops, conditions, and variables.
Returning students will move on to more challenging concepts like using special conditions and making functions that can do different tasks. For those who want an extra challenge, we’ll even explore advanced topics like game physics, working with arrays, and even adding artificial intelligence to your games.
Grades 3-5 (Intermediate)
Scratch: AI and Machine Learning I
Create your own Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Scratch. Join us to understand how AI programs are coded, how they adapt, and what makes them intelligent. You will learn about Machine Learning (ML), training ML models, and computer vision. To practice these concepts, you will use Scratch AI extensions to code smart projects, such as image recognition and face detection programs.
Other projects include AI-based games with computer vision, such as detecting the player’s hand or finger movements. By the end of the course, you will be able to code AI programs and games with Scratch.
Fine Art Starts
