Like so many other things during 2020, the Valley Catholic Food Drive looked different this year, but the Valley Catholic community came through with an outstanding level of generosity for families in need this holiday season. Valley Catholic Middle School and High School families, as well as others in the VC community generously supported this year’s food drive.
In partnership with LifeWorks Northwest, the aim was to help 30 families with enough food and other household supplies for two weeks, and a Christmas gift for every family member. Because of the number of donations, the Valley Catholic Christmas Food Drive was able to provide for 32 families and an additional donation of 35 food boxes to St. Vincent de Paul.
The VCHS cafeteria was overflowing with food, presents and household items. Students organized the donations for families and on Friday morning the VCHS students helped load up vehicles to distribute the items to families to make it a much happier Christmas!
