Originally written by William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night is the tale of Viola, a young woman who has been shipwrecked on the island country of Illyria. For safety’s sake, she must disguise herself as a serving gentleman and work for the Duke Orsino, whom she promptly falls for. Orsino is in love with the Countess Olivia, but she has sworn off having any suitors due to the recent death of her brother. Orsino sends Viola to Olivia in order to woo her for him, but Olivia ends up taking a liking to the disguised Viola instead! In addition to this love triangle, Olivia’s reveler uncle Sir Toby Belch has brought the buffoonish Sir Andrew Aguecheek to Olivia’s house to be her suitor. They decide, with the help of friends Maria and Feste, to trick Olivia’s arrogant and self-serving butler Malvolio for a lesson in humility. 

This modern-language version of Twelfth Night has been adapted for clearer audience understanding and enjoyment! Performances are November 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7 p.m. and November 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.
