Give today to let your light kindle the fire of discovery for all... | | | | | | | | In observance of World Day of the Poor, the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon are collecting gloves and mittens to share with local nonprofits. | | | | | | | | | Valiant Girls Soccer Heads to State Championship! | | The Valley Catholic Girls Soccer team is heading to the OSAA 3A/2A/1A State Championship this Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. at Liberty High School. The Valiants will face Amity High School in what promises to be an exciting matchup between two top teams. | | Come cheer them on and show your Valley Catholic spirit as they compete for the state title! Go Valiants! 💙 | | 📍 Location: Liberty High School 🕐 Kickoff: Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. | Valiant Cross Country Teams Finish Strong at OSAA State Championships | | Valley Catholic runners delivered impressive performances at the OSAA State Cross Country Championships held on Nov. 8 at Lane Community College. | | The girls team placed 16th overall in the 3A/2A/1A division, led by Shaivi Bathija (10th grade, 21:11.5). Teammates Samantha Lilli, Larissa Mallen, Jessamine Botello Mendoza, Kate Ofstun, and Aanandhi Ganesh each contributed strong efforts. The boys team earned a 6th place with standout runs from Harlen Sampson (10th, 16:35.4) and Benjamin Hoffman (12th, 16:36.3). They were joined by Alec Zaw-Tun, Tobit Schaal, Rowan Bender, Elijah Schaal, and Declan Ing, rounding out an impressive team showing. | | Congratulations to all our Valiant runners for representing Valley Catholic. | Boys Soccer Ends Season in Round 2 of the 2025 State Championship | | The Valiants’ varsity boys soccer team capped off a strong season by advancing to Round 2 of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) / OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A/2A/1A Boys Soccer State Championship. The team earned an at-large playoff berth and battled hard before their season came to a close in the second round. | Valley Catholic Day of Service: Faith in Action Across the Community | | On Valley Catholic’s annual Day of Service, students, faculty, and staff put faith into action across the Portland metro area. More than 275 students volunteered at 16 different sites, supporting local nonprofits and community organizations through hands-on service projects. | | From organizing donations at Northwest Children’s Outreach and St. Vincent de Paul to assisting at Habitat for Humanity, The Grotto, and Family Promise, Valiants came together to lend a helping hand where it was needed most. On campus, students worked alongside staff to improve school grounds and assist in classrooms at Valley Catholic Early Learning.
