What is the Contest?
A poster design contest open to VCHS students to promote the 30th annual, 2026 Gala. Winning art will be used in the 2026 Gala collateral.
What does the gift of an education at Valley Catholic School look like to you? Answer this question through art in an 11”x17” portrait format.

What is the Gala?
The Gala is an annual, schoolwide celebration and fundraising event for all of Valley Catholic School. Parents, faculty, staff, alumni, the Sisters and supporters come together for a shared purpose of enriching the education at VCS. It is a week-long event, beginning with an online auction and culminating with an elegant evening of community, live musicians, a 3-course dinner, thoughtfully curated Silent and Live auction packages and video premieres. All money raised from purchases and donations go back to support programs, faculty and students at VCS.
Poster Judging Criteria
Creativity
The sky is the limit. Think about what the Gala is for and what Valley Catholic means to you. Whereas we love our shades of blue, do not feel that you need to stick with this color. Search the internet and styles of art for inspiration to get your wheels turning.
Consider this
What does the gift of a Valley education mean or look like to you? We want the poster to connect our community with the students and education at VCS.

Entry deadline
Winners
Three posters will be chosen by the Communications and Foundation teams. These three will be voted on in a school-wide community vote. Voting will take place from April 17-April 30th.
Each of the top three will receive a prize, with the winners’ poster being used for the main 2026 Gala Art.
Winner will be emailed and announced on May 8th. The winner will proudly see their work around campus.
