In the July edition of “A View From the Dome” we share the Sisters’ sewing project, which helps to clothe children at the border, at the Catholic Charities respite center in the Brownsville Diocese in Texas. Sister Delores had been sewing dresses for children in Haiti, but due to COVID-19 and political issues, that opportunity was no longer available, so Sister Delores discovered the opportunity to sew for children at the border and engaged other SSMO Sisters in this activity. In July we will be honoring our two Jubilarians, Sister Delores and Sister Rita, both are celebrating 60 years of ministry. You can learn more about the Sisters’ sewing project and the upcoming Jubilee on this link.
