Letter from the Superior General

Dear Friends and Families,

As we enter the month of October, our hearts turn toward Mary, the Mother of God. The Church has dedicated this month to the Holy Rosary, inviting us to draw close to Jesus through the prayer Mary treasures most.

The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, celebrated on Oct. 7, reminds us of the powerful intercession of our Blessed Mother and the victory of prayer. St. Padre Pio, whose feast we celebrated on Sept. 23, once said, “Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today.” These words are especially fitting as we seek Mary’s maternal care and protection this month.

VCELS celebrates St. Thérèse of Lisieux

ELS students with flowers for St. Therese

Yesterday, Valley Catholic Early Learning School celebrated the 100th anniversary of St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s canonization. Originally known as Little Flower School in her honor, VCELS marked the occasion with prayer, songs, and flowers placed at a special altar in the lobby. The Sisters joined the students in honoring St. Thérèse, creating a joyful tribute to our Little Flower.

The students also shared this prayer together:

St. Thérèse, help me to always believe, as you did, in God's great love for me, so that I might imitate your "Little Way" each day. Amen.
