Letter from the Superior General
Superior General Sister Michael Francine
Dear Friends and Families,
Welcome to the holy season of Lent. Lent is the 40-day period that precedes Easter, during which the Church invites us into deeper prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and conversion of heart. Through these sacred practices, Christians prepare to celebrate the greatest feast of the liturgical year, the Resurrection of the Lord.
Catholic Schools Week offered meaningful opportunities to celebrate faith, service, and community across our campus. Throughout the week, the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon were actively present—joining students at Mass, welcoming flower visits at the Motherhouse, spending time with children in the Early Learning Center, and participating in service projects across grade levels.
Our Early Learning School took time to celebrate the SSMO Maintenance Team, whose care and dedication help keep our campus safe, welcoming, and ready for learning every day. Students shared their gratitude through smiles, kind words, and handmade messages, while also learning about the many ways the team supports our community behind the scenes. Moments like these remind us that every part of our campus is shaped by people who show up with care and commitment each day.
